Newtone offers both Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage. Swedish massage incorporates a variety of techniques created to relax the muscles by applying light pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones. Deep Tissue Massage is similar to Swedish, but it is more concentrated on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. By addressing trigger points or “knots”, the muscle that has been tensed by repetitive action (from say a workout) has a chance to relax and re-pattern itself. Deep Tissue helps to alleviate soreness and remove blockages by releasing the toxins and allowing nutrients to flow through the body more freely. |

Meet the Therapist
Michael Bucy has worked in therapeutic massage in the Lafayette area for the past four years in which time he has perfomed over 6,000 professional massages. He is a graduate of Indiana College of Bodywork Modalities. He is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association and is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
